If you are interested in spiritual wellness small group programming, one-on-one spiritual direction, or public speaking on the intersection of mental health recovery and spiritual wellness, please make sure to reach out to me! I am trying to learn about program interests right now (and not actively offering programs yet), so please be sure to fill out the program interest form above. I am polling because I have learned I cannot do all the things, so this interest form will be helpful when planning the future of Amethyst Compass. For those who are looking for Mindfully, Amber Brown, it is in the midst of being revised/reenvisioned and put back online! Mindful progress is my mission, vision and goal!In the meantime, learn more about me on here and by clicking the link below!
Hello!
My name is Amber Brown
It's wonderful to virtually meet you!I have an "MDiv" (a ministry graduate degree), though I most enjoyed obtaining my spiritual director and yoga instructor certifications. I'm also an artsy person who wants spiritual wellness to be accessible for more people. I can offer one-on-one spiritual direction and group programming. I also speak about spirituality and mental wellness from a lived experience/peer perspective.I encouraged people on their spiritual wellness journeys through online writing at Mindfully, Amber Brown (currently revising and revisioning it), and aim to offer one-on-one virtual (online!) and in-person (near me!) spiritual direction, and creative small group and/or retreat-style programming. For this, I can use a model I self-created in 2019 called "Create, Connect & Move." In 2025, I adapted the curricula to also be able to offer a "Write, Connect & Move" experience. Experiences can be easefully tailored to your group, and I am working to develop the curriculum for these programs to be used by others.

Spiritual wellness is for everyone - though spirituality is challenging for some.
Reclaiming "spirituality"
While serving in a variety of faith communities, I found myself more inspired to work with and create something for folks who seek spiritual wellness outside the walls of faith communities - folks like me! These folks might never show up in a faith community, might attend myriad spiritual communities, might be more nature-focused, use the labels spiritual but not religious, agnostic, spiritual wanderer, or perhaps don't label their spiritual lineage or sense of connection to spirituality! This is why I reclaim spirituality by using the more inclusive term "spiritual wellness."I welcome the chance to work with LGBTQ+ folks and allies (and have) and strive to be affirming and inclusive. LGBTQ+ spiritual wellness is important and can improve lives! I do also welcome people happily nestled in faith communities, as I am trained by a spiritual direction certificate program that honors many traditions and meet you where you are at on your journey.I welcome people who want to bring small group programming to their faith community, to reach out to me about spiritual direction/spiritual wellness programming options!
